Hi-
The team had a meeting earlier today about our plans and ideas to reduce inflation and make the market more competitive/ interesting. So far, here's what we came up with in order of priority. Please let us know your thoughts.
1. Multicoin trading. Players can trade up to 5 coins at once with an additional 10% broker fee per coin, for both buying and selling. e.g. you can buy 5 Botan at $2,000 each immediately but you pay $10,000 * 1.5 = $15,000 total.
2. Asset tiers. Players will be able to purchase tiered assets such as lambos, yachts, jets, etc. to signify their ranking on the leaderboard. For example, a lambo would cost $1,000,000 (adjusting for inflation) and continue contributing to your net worth after purchase. When you own an asset, you will be added to a smaller leaderboard for owners of said item. This would make rising through the ranks more involved for new players.
3. Oshi assets/ premium coins - players can trade oshi coins for these premium, non-sellable coins that contribute to networth at a slight boost but do not pay dividends. The oshiboard would rank users based on amount owned of these special items. Removes money from the economy and makes it less viable to change oshis.
4. Changing the adjustment time back to 1amET. Based on player input, it seems that the current adjustment time of 9amET has made gameplay a bit stale because it removes any surprise due to how long after the YouTube API update it occurrs. Players can just check poi and know what the good deals are. Since the YouTube API begins updating stats at 19:00ET and does not finish until around 5-6 hours after, the earliest time we could move adjustment to is 1:00am while still keeping it close. With the new autotrader, we feel the issues we were having before with players in different timezones not being able to play at adjustment should be slightly alleviated.
5. New dividend formula. We are thinking of changing the dividend formula so that dividend rates will factor in the relative week-to-week change in performance of each coin compared to itself, rather than solely on market mean.
6. More gacha items and hats. Adding an item for every holo, as well as hats and items that do things like jeb_. Also the auctions (as you can tell, this has been pushed back significantly)
7. Trading licences. Licenses would be purchased at certain net worths and allow players to engage in shorting, margins, and options.

Already broken due to volatility being same-ish across the board. So you could yolobuy holo or marine at a slight loss BUT being able to get double the coin amount in the same time makes more than up for it, factoring in divvies of those coins you actually GAIN money here. Won't matter at all for shitcoins.
If a coin dips you just rush right in with 5x and slowly go down, keeping your relative expenses stable but you're done much earlier. Also locks out poor people much faster. Think this one through very hard.

Hello, I'm an autist that was discussing this, it legitimately does not work if it doesn't affect everyone, if you're placed on a shitty board where no one cares about, no one will use it, it would have to be implemented on the main leaderboard for it to actually be encouraged.

And 1am, really? That hasn't been a source of complaint for months, it came as a compromise to try to be at a reasonable for the most timezones. No. I say this as somebody where neither time is significant. I'm up for both anyway. While you are correct that the trade time has made the game stale, the autotrader does not alleviate the problem enough. There are issues with leaving the trader on overnight, least of which are the reliability concerns. The autotrader is not a viable or even semi-viable replacement for being present at adjustment until we can set times for it to turn on and have it run without a client being open. Even if the Haatontrader was 100% bog free and endorsed, I would not consider it viable without modifications that would effectively render it able to play the game for you without your input. That's the opposite of engagement. Heavily reconsider this idea, or at least reconsider the reasoning behind it. Your current reasoning is flawed.

My 3.5 cents; if you want to change adjustments back to 1AM ET, you need to rework the autotrader to do smart trades (i.e. if the price drops below 10k, buy until cost is 13.5k)

On the other hand this'll automate the game even more but a competent spreadsheet could manage this functionality so it's almost an inevitability.

Yeah I'm honestly not sure what do to in terms of oshi-coin assets. There's a possibility they could be "balanced" to appreciate, so let's say Sora has a $1000 dividend (1118 but we'll make it a nice even number) then a Premium Sora bond would instead appreciate in value by like $1750.
So you have $750 more net worth than the guy with the dividend coin, but you can't spend said net worth. This doesn't fix leaderboard inflation but it does take money out of the economy. The only problem is that it would require careful balancing against divs to make it at all worth it (is the 750 in the example too much? Too little?) and eventually the guy making smarter trades with his liquid is probably going to outstrip your fixed appreciating assets thanks to compounding.
