Look at who long it took her to go to the hospital after they begged her to for months or the fact that she is considering a capfull of ensure to be a valid substitute for the whole bottle when trying to drink the amount they ask her to in a day. And really not to hit on a really sour subject but the doctors REALLY wanted to keep her in the hospital until she could get into rehab she blew that off because legally that had to let her go home if she signed a paper saying it wasnt their fault if something went wrong.

I have a very personal very serious ongoing issue in my life. Most of my waking hours since July have been devoted to solving it (but I had been putting it off since the previous August and I kinda thought it was going to eventually become an issue since I solved it in a horrible way that just put it off for later in Dec 2021). I am working with some experts but they are annoyed with me because because of who I am I refuse to take a class of solutions that they have. It is getting to the point where this issue feels like it is tearing apart my mind. People who love me are hounding me about it every day and if I try to do anything I would normally do to keep my mind off things, to heal my mind a bit, they see I am not working on it and use it as an excuse to hound me about it worse. My family and friends are constantly recommending I try things that I have either already tried or I have already looked into and am confident will not work. My Dad uses every chance he gets to recommend I put it off the same way I did in 2021 but I don't want to put it off anymore and he knows that but still says the same thing like a broken record. It is at the point where I have threatened to cut my parents and grandparents out of my life even if that would end up putting me on the streets.
The only thing that I have found that placates them for a bit is whenever they or I bring up the issue I have to remind them that I am trying everything I can and am working on it but it is hard.

morning pyon. i don't take issue with armchair doctors or psychologists, i think knowledge is independent from credentials in any particular instance. being a real doctor is more about responsibility and consistency of knowledge and skill. like for an example i know how to remove a tick but i'm not a vet and can't do all or most of the other stuff, and it is still pretty stressful for me to do it and take up that responsibility rather than delegate it since the vet is still more experienced at it and i have an emotional connection to my pets.

my issue is that knowledge is often not what is lacking in these situations and giving advice rarely works. we have empirical evidence that this kind of advice doesn't work on kiki specifically and it doesn't work on me either. you are free to keep trying but i won't. i'm well aware that cigarettes are bad, soda is bad, i should go get a checkup, i should go to the dentist, etc, and yet i don't. this is not a good thing but it is reality, advice rarely works. i am not a pussy for not "telling it like it is" i am smart for trying to think outside the box and look for other solutions, such as thinking about the timing or format of the advice. i do not think this was good timing. she ate well the day before. she already experienced an internal motivator event by considering this may be her last christmas. but again you are free to disagree and try.
