I first started "learning" in July but I wouldn't say I've been learning for 7 months
fuck it's been that long? due to taking breaks and just doing a poor job in general at learning grammar. For a while I was just an anki drone. I'm sure someone dedicated could catch up to me in like a month or two if they wanted to. It honestly varies a lot how much I understand but overall I'd say I understand only a little but even that's enough to help enjoy her more. Yesterday's stream I actually felt alright about how much I understood. I do get disappointed in myself when thinking about a post from the translator nousagi a few months ago where he said he'd been learning for 6 months at that point and he was already able to write up those large translations since it's now technically past that point since I started. But I guess everyone learns at their own pace and I'd rather take a year or whatever to reach that point than burn out.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that amongst streamers, Hololive is nowhere near the influence that big game companies might even consider beneficial to their brand.

When there are Pewdiepies and Markipliers right around the corner, why would a Capcom or a Squeenix bother with Hololive? Sure, Pekora was in the top 5 female streamers. Sega and SE are basically opposites outside of the fact they started with sponsored streams. There are very few Sega games they can't play, as far as I'm aware there's only 1 or 2 Yakuza games that are off limits and Atlus games if you count those. With SE they only have Nier, FFXIV, and DQB2 and I'm pretty sure the latter is only for Pekora.
