I was interested in seeing the western interest for a male Vtuber so I searched both Kuzuha and Kanae clips and manually added up the views on subbed clips from the last week.
I stopped counting clips once they reached double digit views. Also English Subbed/titled videos only.
I didn't include mega compilations but if you want you can just add 65k to the nijis.

Overall I'm not seeing a huge demand for Male vtubers.

My prediction is that NijiEN male wave won't be a huge hit in terms of numbers. Probably on par with current NijiEN numbers but it won't cannibalize EN Viewers much making it a good investment.

Those are a different brand, they prove that you can become a vtuber and see a rise in popularity, but they already had a big audience. Also, they and other popular streamers who would have wanted to get a vtuber avatar, are basically out of the question. If YouTube is limiting live views for EN2 similar to how they did it for subs (my speculation from an older thread), then I assume that would be lifted soon after the accounts get SC options. Will be interesting to watch Fauna’s live views now, given she recently got that option.

The idea was that it would be weird for the AI to only target their subs while completely avoiding their live viewers.

I don't think it's limiting views. Their VODs are generally consistent with what it's showing they're getting live. I think they just had like 200k or whatever of their initial subs hidden from public view but they're still functioning in every other way like normal subs/viewers. It's possible they will never get those "unhidden".

Rrat last night was at 130k for her bayo stream and this morning she was 120k.
As posted above since they are new channels, i think youtube is taking more time to validate both live viewers and vod views. Hence why this kroni stream will end up being like sub 100k views at te end and then rise to 100k+ in the subsequent hours.

If you increased the sample from your 10 to, let’s say, 500 to make of comparable with the vtubing scene, and the number of tabbing in and out on the 100s, that would be an excellent experiment but I doubt anyone capable of pulling CCV wants to risk their channel.
