That's corpo talk. The studio could be on fire, half the talents are graduating that day while the other half are being terminated and hits have been called on all the managers. They'd still have to go up and tell the investors "Oh this is negligible we are going to do more to encourage talents to not take up arms against us and form private militia."
That said once you are gone you are nothing to management. When Aloe signed her graduation agreement she wanted to do a Farwell stream with Gen 5 and they were like "Lol you don't work for us anymore."
The problem is the talents and fans are held hostage because the talents are the ones who suffer for this shit.
