NTA but I think vpred hates colors in the negative, so try to avoid them. Before 0.65 "euler" was the best/recommended sampler for it, though I hear euler a cfg++ is also good. Doing these should clear up a lot of the saturation issue. Note this is only for 0.6 and before, the newer ones seem to work fine on other samplers.

Yes, that is the singular one that works.
But only having a single pre processor pretty much defeats the point of IP Adapter, no? You're supposed to be able to swap them out to transfer faces, styles, clothing, etc.
What does CLIP-ViT-bigG even transfer? From testing it feels like it turns the input image into a prompt and mixes it with the textual prompt, which is probably the least interesting thing theoretically doable with IP Adapter.

From what I understand Clip is a LAION vision model it takes the image and creates a prompt based on it (IP=image prompt, I think) the adapter takes what is given and translates it into the resulting image balancing with your prompt (depending on strength). We had IP adapters before but they were modeled with NLP and regular models in mind and not danbooru tags, noobs one changes that to tags instead.
Anyone who understands better feel free to correct kek, probably got something wrong.

Like the other anon said, putting colors/styles in the negatives can mess stuff up. I do find "muted colors" to be less extreme, but even that can still cause a lot of oversaturation. Only reason to add stuff like monochrome in there is if the style you choose is causing the images to be monochrome, and even then, using positive prompts is usually preferred.

On Illustrious/Noob? I'd recommend using a finetune built on Noob 1.1 EPS, should be fairly stable with colors.
V-pred is better on paper but it is more fiddly.

That's how it was from 1.5 to Pony, and from early Pony to late Pony/XL hybrids. I was one of the last to switch from 1.5 to Pony.
Early Illustrious was rough but I think we're already at the point Noob finetunes beat Pony in most situations.

Yeah, it's pretty ancient. It was made in 2008, last update in 2019. Sadly they stopped supporting it and didn't even open source it afterwards. It's really bare bones - way simpler than other 3d animation software, which makes it harder to do fancy things, but it's also easier to learn.

First of, Thanks you for all of that. Sure the background is not as crazy but it more than does the job as does the artstyle.
