Undyne was fucking impressive, I was on the edge of my seat when she got hit in the middle of the fight once but then she literally perfected the rest without getting hit once more. From here on I guess she can only improve in more optimizations and most importantly trying to do no damage runs so she doesn't waste time healing or saving. She also needs to improve on her critical hits, those can shave her a lot of minutes if she nails them. A sub 1:10 should be very doable.

From what I've watched: way faster mashing, optimized movement, nailing crits and little to no damage received to avoid wasting time healing or save-healing, speedrunners at the top can almost flawlessly beat Undyne and Sans, let alone the monsters. The rest is just monster RNG to get easier to kill ones, there are really no risky strategies outside of receiving intentional damage against the frogs in the ruins to end their turns faster.

Just nailing crits more optimally to one hit kill monsters and reducing healing can improve her time tenfold.

So it seems like she has got the basics down and all she needs to do now is to plan and optimize her movements, practice, practice, practice and do a ton of runs to get good RNG. It'd still take quite a lot to reach her goal of sub 10 though, probably another (few?) dozen runs at the very least. Not sure if she will be able to do that, she has so much other things she wants to play. But I believe in my Friend, she can be quite persistent and tenacious and has a powerful competitive spirit, so who knows how far she can take it.

I don't know about the other anons here, but I don't rely on him at all, I sometimes check his translation after the fact if I didn't quite understand something or was zoned out for a bit and didn't properly listen. Relying on a chat translator is a bad idea anyway, it's not feasible to do high quality translations on the fly for hours and hours on end. They will end up rushing and getting stuff wrong and will be picking and choosing what to translate. That might leave you with a disorted impression of what the streamer is actually like. The FBK translator localizes a lot of stuff as though it were a dubbed anime (e.g. translating proper nouns like Fubuzilla, SuCorn etc., replacing jokes, translating Loli Fubuki with a stupid "accent") which I really dislike. If you are doing you reps, relying on the translator is also a trap. You will stop concentrating on listening and just read whatever he says, same as watching subtitled anime. The results are better if figure out stuff by yourself, if you must read his translations do it after the stream. Also, he is an asshole as well so fuck him.

Doing your reps is the only way you will get the proper experience, if it's for your oshi it shouldn't be hard to find the motivation. It's a positive feedback loop, the more you learn, the more you understand. The more you understand your oshi, the more motivated you are. Just need to keep at it. Doing your reps doesn't have to be miserable, with immersion, the reps practically do themselves, the only tedious thing will be like an hour of Anki a day.

Also, you'll make progress faster than you think if you are dedicated. What have you been doing so far? In a couple of months of efficient learning you can get quite far.

Are we talking English subtitles? You can't learn properly that way. That's like reading an answer sheet to a test and then taking the test afterwards, nothing gained except deluding yourself into thinking you would have gotten it right. You aren't even training listening comprehension if you have the solution right in front of your eyes. You also shouldn't be translating in your head ever, you should train yourself to understand the Japanese instead of going back and forth to English.

The reason you are burning out is that you are learning Japanese and not actually using it. If you can't properly read Hiragana after over a year, that just means you aren't reading enough Japanese. You get stronger by actively immersing. Watch anime with Japanese subtitles instead, this is the way to quick success. You train both reading and listening and most crucially associate them with each other instead of treating them as two separate things. If you immerse with Japanese subtitles, you can pause and look up anything you might not understand with Yomichan and take as much time as you want to actually deduce what the meaning is (not translate!) and then you can add whatever vocabulary you leaned to your deck and learn it in the future. By associating vocabulary with specific scene it can stick much better in you brain than shit from a premade list. You get more vocabulary, get better at reading, get better at listening etc. Active immersion is the best way to progress quickly. Depending on what you watch, you can quickly acquire a ton of vocabulary and commonly used phrases in any specific genre. Slice of life is a good entry point for Holos, obviously. It has a lot of everyday vocabulary and slang, so that's a good start to build a basis.

Don't worry about it, the other anon is correct, FBK always has small arcs lasting about one month before she gets interested in something else and she always does a variety of other things on the side even when deeply into a game. The style of the video matched the style of Error. The video title including that she's a high school fox matches the theme. Cool promotion, but what now? Does Cover count on recordings?
It feels like they want to provoke a split. So one group tells, the video existed while the majority says, there isn't any trace of it, so it's a lie. Maybe it's some hint about the story of Error.

This almost certainly has nothing to do with Error. She was just playing a bit because she got rejected for Twitter Verification a second time and pretended to be reset to her initial state out of shock (because she is a virtual AI, remember?). During the stream whenever an inconsistency came up she pretended to bug out until she got the fatal Error and restored from backup in the end. The backup was the FBK we know so she deleted everything and pretended to have overslept.
