I have a friend who's on a wheelchair. He can get up and walk a few meters or stand for about a minute if he has something to hold on to, but not much more than that. Our city really isn't the best for handicapped people but he doesn't have many issues mainly because he has a shitton of friends and he's always out with somebody and rarely alone so there's always someone who can help him in a pinch.
