I don't appear to be throttled on downloads by YouTube averaging maybe 30 MBps, but the occasional VOD downloads very slowly, at like 3 MBps. Factoring in encode and write times my rate thus far in total is about 12 MBps.

Just downloading the video and audio and putting them together. I'm not otherwise re-encoding it, but I have noticed that it seems to read and write the entire file again in order to embed the thumbnail. I've noticed many other archivers include the thumbnail separately, and maybe that's why.
I have the downloading and processing happening on a (non-boot) SATA MLC SSD, then the final output being copied to an eSATA RAID 5. The a/v merge and thumbnail passes seem to go at about 90 MBps each, and the final copy at 150 MBps. I'd bet an NVME SSD would help a lot.

I can only speak for the South Florida location but for $130 there's a decent chance you won't get all 3 Gawr Gura things. The big tummy pose plushes end up being ~$50-60 by the payout which seems to be at about 30 plays, and surprisingly those are my best and most consistent results. Then you'll probably get the little head keychain for ~$20 bucks in the little machine on average but I got fucked out of $40 in one of them.

Now the most egregious mother fucker of fucks are the chibi standing plushes. They're in these medium-height Round1 machines with plastic claws that have a white top, and those seem to be an absolute crapshoot when it comes to a guaranteed payout. I spent $80 chasing one and it never once even suspended a plush in the air. I don't know what the deal is with those, but the flat white plastic top makes things more difficult because it'll catch on the nearby glass and otherwise prevent the claws from fully encapsulation a plush if it's surrounded by others- you're simply fucked until it decides to grip for you, which it just never did for me.

It's fun if you have the money though, if your time is worthless and you want to make an event of it I think it'll overall feel better to "win" them than just buying them off eBay. Just start with the bigger ones, and have patience, wait for someone to sacrifice some plays to the machine and then quit without a plush - don't ever just follow-up after a winning play unless it's busy and looks like they'll run out.
