After I met her in a cosplay event and talked to her for like half an hour I sorta understand her, for as talented and cute as she is she also lacks emotional intelligence. She gets upset very easily and goes on heated rants which she mostly doesn't mean or 100% means, she doesn't do white lies.

She is also kind of stubborn about a lot of things needlessly, like taking a while to fix that mic, didn't even get a second monitor for months etc. Seems to just indicate she is a proud type of person. One of her very first streams was Super Mario 64 and she was hilariously bad at it, but that was a fucking hilarious and great stream IMO - but, she never got back around to that game. She is a legit fan of holo itself and cares a ton about the JP senpai and being a very consistent streamer, no sounding super-bored half the time, no tummy horts shit, no 5% shit.

This is an odd comparison but you know who she strikes me as? Worf.. from Star Trek. Worf is of an alien race raised by humans but looks back at his own people with a kind of unrealistic idealism, that isn't actually present in most of them for real - but he as a result of trying to live up to that image, is way more noble/true to their culture than many actual Klingons are. Kiara, is kind of like that, not entirely but that's sort of the idea. That is way, way better thing to get in a Western Holo, than someone very far from understanding the culture, the Japanese nor fundamentally caring about the company.

I don't hate Kiara, I just don't care about her. I find her loud and obnoxious, which makes her personality annoying, so I just avoid her.

That said there are plenty of reasons I can see people hating her for: her constantly trying to hog the spotlight (whenever someone gets attention she tries to insert herself), always complaining about shit because she's a numberfag (boohoo I was last in my gen to reach 1 fucking million subs), getting sour whenever other's get ahead of her (irys/gen 2) and overall attention whoring. She just seems very insecure, which is unhealthy, but can be fixed. Also, KFP can be extremely cancerous, but that can be said of most fans.

Again, I don't hate her, I don't "attack" her, I just have absolutely no interest in her content anymore, so I avoid her. If it wasn't for these bait threads I'd probably forget about her most of the time.

I used to not really like her because I felt her content was boring, but I was never an anti. However, I've done a complete 180 on her and actually like her quite a bit now. She was definitely the worst of EN Gen 1 when she debuted but she's also shown the most improvement. I'd say she's probably my second favorite of EN Gen 1 now (Ina being my favorite).

In terms of why people hate her, she has a couple of nutjob stalkers who migrated to this board. A lot of the "hate" is just these whackadoos doing tons of posts. The stalkers hate her because of her previous incarnation/persona and because she apparently slept with a number of men. It's worth noting that the most "hated" Gen 2 girl right now is Mumei, and that's also because she is known to either have or have had a boyfriend.
