I've only read The Fall of Reach, The Flood, First Strike and Ghosts of Onyx. The Flood is basically a novelization of Combat Evolved, I forget the author. Feels kind of weird, but it's a decent read for the side character POVs.
The other three are by Eric Nylund and are among my favorite novels ever written. Extremely smart, sharp and flowing writing style, kino lore. Highly recommended.
