I'll admit that my lack of interest in Sana is pretty subjective. I can get why others may like her, but she doesn't appeal to me. Kronii on the otherhand, is one of the most boring vtubers I've ever seen. She has a great design, but that doesn't make her good. She has a great voice, but she doesn't really talk that much in her streams. Her debut was a mess, she rushed through most of her topics, had to stall for time, absolutely butchered "Butter-fly", and forgot to mention her schedule or plug Mumei's upcoming debut. She's easily the worst gen2, hard-carried by her design and voice, and she will flip once the coomers have settled down.

I guess as someone who was into HoloJP long before EN existed I see rrat as a pretty ideally translated version of the board-standard HoloJP settings. Fauna on the other hand encapsulates all I wished would NOT come to Hololive. Not by what she does/says directly - because she in fact has a ridiculously adorable voice - it's just knowing how she really is/feels, wrecks the suspension of disbelief carefully orchestrated and upheld by a Hakos type. I don't even care if it's fake underneath, if we never EVER know, no harm done because she fulfilled her purpose as a beyond-perfect, idealized image of a person. Think Cipher from the Matrix.

I honestly don't get it either, some people already call them Timebeats because "unnnf deep sexy voice! giant tits spilling out!" is the same thing with Mori. At least Mori actually has some creative outlets beyond the model/voice, Kronii is just kinda there and not a really charming personality either. Carried by the model/voice almost entirely really.

Then again, it's very very early days, with time all of these new ENs will develop into more established personalities and entire facets, memes and subcultures will develop around them that we can't even hazard a guess at yet. A neat thought, but for today, they're all level 1s, starter kit versions of what they'll eventually be.

I like Kronii but I understand. Her best strength is playing off other people in the deadpan snarkster role and right now there's no collab or fan-interaction showcase to highlight this aspect of her. She's played off the games she's played well enough, but there were some times where it felt like she was really trying to figure out how to keep things interesting. I'm confident that this will come in time however and timecoin remains a solid investment for the future.

It makes 1000% more sense for separation between them and JP chuubas - you'd immediately go "oh hellll no, I think I see what's going on here" if hololives/stars ever have meetups and offcollabs - so they generally, can't even mention each other. Talking about abstract people you may well never ever meet, is different than ones you live within 2-3 hours from which is the case for like half Japan's population.
