From what I can gather, twitch has its own separate culture from youtube. For example, a raid on youtube is considered impolite while on twitch, its a feature. Bits, sound effects, requests, hype trains, those are all part of the twitch culture. They do help in interacting with chubbas but they're also super disruptive and many chubba dont like the interrupting nature of twitch, despite the many pros

this doesn't really make sense because the chuuba can dictate what kind of culture they want, what kind of viewers they want. if they don't want loud obnoxious alerts, they can pick custom sounds that are more muted and less in-your-face. if you're only looking at the biggest streamers, of course they're going to have dumb shit.

there are plenty of comfy streamers on twitch who have tame chats without going overboard on hypetrains, sound effects and shit.
