And it's precisely why I am here, to say the least. I always wanted to become an artist but my drawing sucked and I didnt want to invest too much time into learning since I was occupied with other stuff in my life. Now at the whim of my fingers, I can imagine X doing Y and put into life with the help of AI, and it's fascinating how far it has progressed. I am thankful for this technology.

If you browsed/liked fanart more I'm sure you'd find it more appealing to experiment with. I know a few people who go nuts to find their perfect style so they modelmix 300 times to do it. For me, simple is best, I just grab few artists I like and use their style for the prompt I want.

Any way, I kinda fucked up with this; I cancelled training after 1750 steps since I usually use step 1500, but it turns out 1500 was underbaked. Thankfully, I have loras saved every 250 steps, so 1750 is pretty good. At some point I will train the usual 2000 steps or maybe more.
I was training this while watching a stream of hers, in which she heavily implied that she's pretty much done with vtubing. Shame. At least I preserved the sex.

Eh, I think half the fun, especially on NAI, is figuring out how different artists affect a mix. Also, if there's just 20 styles, people would probably flock to 1 or 2 of them and nothing else would be genned anymore. When you keep the artists some major mixes will still be created, but it's easier to do bring in your own knowledge and try to get a specific style. It's why I think 4th Tail and NAI are so good, cause they have the broadest knowledge of different artists that will usually just work together in any combination, unlike Loras.

Honestly, I'm not sure why I said that it got styles more consistently considering I haven't tested the new model with its own styles, just with loras. I was mostly going off of what I saw on /h/ when the model came out, but tbf, I think that was tofu, not 4th tail.
Just tested it out with one of the styles I know 0.45 did well, as109, and yeah, 0.50 completely missed the mark. Like it's not even close. Did it forget styles? It's still listed in the wildcard.

I'm wondering what's the best way to upscale a gen. I'm using NAI, so I can generate unlimited images as long as I don't use higher resolutions, but once I finish touching up a picture, I don't see a really good way to generate it again with better quality.

NAI has an upscaling tool, but I'm not really a fan of how it smooths everything and sometimes even removes details from the original picture. Should I just use Waifu2x and call it a day?

I tend to just use the highres-fix / "enhance". Sure, 1.5x isn't really high res, but due to the way SD works, there isn't enough detail in those images that makes it worth having them at 4k anyway.
It's just important not to overdo it, 0.17-0.31 is the strength range I use mostly, depending on how good the base gen already is (lower if I want minimal changes, higher if I'd like it to still fix some minor things).

I was thinking about writing some small prompt translator utility and then use the SD upscaler script from Forge with very small denoise strength for images I'd actually like at high res as I got pretty good results with it when I still generated locally.
Just haven't tried it on NAI based images yet.

When working with NAI I used to just gen an image until I found a good base, upscaled it locally and then worked on 1024x1024 chunks, cause inpainting and such was free for them. It's a little more effort, cause you would also need to stitch it back together in ps/krita/gimp, but it resulted in pretty good results imo.

Citation needed. I did compare 4th tail poses with others and it did make the best gens, but then it involved Marine and a lot of cocks.
