Dividend Anon here, it's time to observe the aftermath of the Q1 Report/Dividends!

ANYCOLOR STAYS AFLOAT
Anycolor's dividend keeps them in the fight, as the stock manages to rise up to 2397 yen (142) as we close out the day. Clocking at a rather meager 70 gain for the week overall considering how much they'll be spending to bump the stock. The stock's performance today is also rather worrying, as compared to Q4 it didn't max out and even slowly dwindled after peaking early. Especially if we take into account how the NIKKEI saw a abnormally great day today compared to recent times.

Regardless, Today is merely just a starting point and trends aren't set in a single day. If Anycolor pulls a Browns and can't convert for momentum we may see them still stuck in a neutral/losing trend as we saw between the the last two reports. And they don't have the gracious headstart that the buyback gave them like last time.

COVER WINS BY DOING NOTHING
In a surprising twist of fate, Cover shot up and stabilized to barely beat out Anycolor in gains today. Clocking in at a resounding 1813 yen (147) for the first day since the report, beating Anycolor by 5. They didn't face much of a decline since they weren't the main focus this time around. But now currently Cover wins the weekly as well as they edge out their competition with a 71 yen gain so far this week.

OTHER
The NIKKEI brings a rallying cry to the market, clocking in at a 3.41% gain today.

Yes, which frankly says a lot considering Anycolor has also reduced their own volume recently. The company is being juggled between thise that still see dividends and want a piece of the profits and the leavers after the Q1 disaster.
It’s hard to say where it will end, it could go either way, but if it can allow itself massive buybakcs that go nowhere and then dividends that chip the profits heavily, I doubt their plan is to pay or invest people but rather vomit everything that sells unt the well is dry.

ANYCOLOR KEEPS CLIMBING
Anycolor continues their climb upwards, as they settle in for the week at 2531 yen (134). The stock stabilized after lunch after hitting a brief peak, but it seems this time around Anycolor may have some momentum that rides upward compared to their Buyback from the Q4 report.

ANYCOLOR WEEK IN REVIEW
Anycolor's result for this week gives us a 208 yen gain as we see them return to the 2500s. Overall a rather mediocre to bad performance before the Report/Dividends but being forced to placate shareholders after some terrible results has it's benefits. As I mentioned yesterday in >>85031430 the main thing Anycolor needs to worry about is if they peaked early, and hey they beat Q4 in timeframe so far. But they've only just passed half of what the Buyback gave them on the initial upward ride (or spike? considering it was all in one day) so not as good, but certainly not as much of a fluke.

Still, the bare minimum has been accomplished post Day 1. Now we see if the weekend will carry that momentum over or do we hit the wall and just end up where we were just 3 weeks ago. At the very least, conditions in the market as of yesterday been more favorable compared to even the days prior but that can't be guaranteed to not turn into a tide against them

COVER STUCK IN NEUTRAL
It seems Cover's stock may have took the doing nothing title from yesterday too literally, as the stock barely moves down to 1805 yen (-8) for the final price this week. They stayed relatively stagnant after their jump from yesterday, especially after lunch this time around.

COVER WEEK IN REVIEW
Cover's week stays positive at a decent 63 yen gain for week. But for the most part, the stock has been mostly been following fluctuations in the NIKKEI outside of Thursday which was when they followed (and somehow surpassed) Anycolor. Still they see a return to the 1800s, but looking at the two weeks prior I would not be surprised if we saw them fluctuate between the 1700s and 1800s again.
