Probably the best Japanese pronunciation of the lot, which should be a surprise to no one. Could become quite okay with a few lessons, though I can't say for sure where exactly the source of her tension is right now.

Something about doing cutesy voices seems to obscure vowels enough that the source accent isn't as noticeable (similar situation with Fauna), but her first verse, the more natural timbre, is a bit of a mixed bag, with hints of both the widespread U.S. influenced singing accent and her native accent. A nice confident voice right out of the gate is nice to hear.

So this VTuber announced her graduation, a likely candidate for the next NijiEN wave, and her singing is pretty great. Along with some of the other recent graduations that have happened, it looks like NijiEN is gonna get some more strong singers.

Sana & Fauna: they can't really sing.
Kronii: a pleasant surprise after the first 2, with her deep warm voice. However, she struggled with belting the higher notes.
Mumei: her voice will be pleasantly cute, but not really interesting for me. It feels too flat and mechanical.
Baelz: she really flexed her voice-acting abilities, changing her voice to like 3 different characters to fit the original song. Regarding the actual singing, I found that she was more on-pitch and held notes more correctly than, say, Watame for the same song. It is not without flaws. Like the word "kedo" at 2:51 ( https://youtu.be/38FCZ_qxnkc?t=171 ) was belted very poorly and nasally. Frustrating, since she could clearly do better, like how she shouted "thanks guys" at 2:16 was much better. OPEN THAT PIPE.

hololive en doesn't seem too interested in picking up singers other than for the vsinger position. their "producer" seem to be intent on telling an overarching story with the en talents than making music.
i guess it make sense if they can't bring all the en talents together to do frequent live 3d for concerts like their jp talents.

I'm also excited for lore in october. Though if the game is AR like ingress/pokemongo and you have to run around Japan locations then tough luck.

A quick glance at her live singing paints her as a good but not great generic Japanese singer with a problem of being nasally when she’s in the middle/bottom of her range instead of the top. Seems to be going pretty hard on all the language buffs, streams on a bunch of platforms, but despite having members, no one timestamps her singing streams. One of them is an ASMR artist, another is a literal artist, and so on. Just because we only care about the music doesn’t mean that’s true for the general audience. The only HoloEN I had singing expectations for was IRyS and she was both good and disappointing at the same time, so I’m not surprised that EN2 didn’t have a strong musician even if I think that’s a huge part of Gura and Mori’s success and the general skyrocket of EN in general, since music is so shareable.

Biggest reason Cover doesnt care right now for EN singers is prolly due to copyrighted songs. Most of the EN utas are unarchived with supacha turned off. The ones that do get archived r all nip songs that the girls r singing without being fluent. This is the biggest reason Cover hired Irys for her language fluency rather than actual singing ability.

they are picking up actual talents. they are just not prioritizing singing talent. from what has leaked so far about their audition interview, it seems like they're looking for interesting/passionate people that fits the character type for their "story." apparently the "characters" are created before audition.
i think that's also consistent with their main branch. you can count the "good" singers on one hand out of 50 talents.

There are a surprising amount of songs that are licensed with JASRAC. Cover is just exceptionally incompetent about realizing this. Most musicals and Disney songs, for example, are licensed since they also have a Japanese version. Sou Nanamiya, as an example, notes that all of her songs are cleared and was singing Disney, Wicked, Le Mis, and others. She even politely refused to sing a couple of requested songs that she wasn't sure about the legality of, so either that was just an excuse or they actually are licensed.

Kami is able to get the license to things like Taylor Swift, Adele, Billie Ellish, and BlackPink, if you look through RIM's covers or they're skating under the radar since I think RIM did have to take down her 'See You Again', and they're much smaller then Cover is at this point, so it's really just a matter of Cover being incompetent, lazy, or just plain disinterested in securing the rights to them. There's a giant fucking company who's entire business is handling licensing for mechanical and sync license for Youtube videos for most Western labels, Harry Fox, who they can easily secure a blanket agreement for Western songs, since they're officially 'in an alliance with the JASRAC' which means that any agreements they come to are recognized by both parties, and they have an entire fucking legal department who should be able to sort this shit out.

She has made many covers. Unfortunately she usually insists on using her debuff child-form voice instead of her adult-form voice. And her song repertoire is quite different from other vsingers. But the ones I linked above are the best I've found, where she fully flexes her raw voice.
