Iirc, the original story that was posted in /jp/ was based on a translation of a blog post the "producer" had written. They originally met on some forum in 2016-2017. Chris was an office worker and she was 19 at the time. The guy was also a total nobody. They both liked vtubers so they started talking and got closer to each other. They started "dating", but Chris was only using the guy as a piggy bank. She was leading him on with promises of sex, but they never went beyond kissing and licking. After a while he realized that he was being used and wanted to end the relationship, but Chris threatened to go to the police (probably would've accused him of rape or some shit). Shortly after Chris' debut the guy wrote a blog post where he came clean about the whole thing which is how the police and Cover got wind of it.
