As an EOP newfag of the time, her Asacoco content was honestly the best comedy Hololive had produced at the time.
The "holo box" was pioneered by her with that program (initially meant to get around the collab ban), and then the Ark series.
Asacoco also had subs after April, and it was 5 days a week so it was VERY accessible content for me to get a decent roundup of the "box" while I was dipping my toes into Hololive as a whole.

Coco also helped out other members a lot from getting flamed by "memeing" the flame against them, introducing the concept of "bantz" to the greater holo audience (previously only restricted to certain holos like Pekora or Miko).
e.g. Watame's terrible internet during debut, and Kanata's PPTenshi shirt (seriously, look at this fucking shirt, do you think anyone would have bought it if not for Coco's memeing campaign?).

That lighthearted poking and "プロレス" between the fans and the talents is always why I got attracted to Hololive, and of course the appeal of the "box" where everyone interacted with each other without things getting too toxic.

She was mainly disliked by Nijifags of the time because of her supposedly "stealing" the Ark series, and because her humor was far cruder than what NijiJPs could get away with in their own fanbases, but was being received quite well amongst the holo audience.

Sure, she maybe toed the line a little bit too far at times, but streams like her talks with Watame or Aqua proved that she had the best interest of the talents in mind, and that's why so many watched her.

Obviously when you are the pioneer of "the box" and your whole content is tied to it, your content will change when you cut yourself off from that box. And naturally that change will repel a lot of your audience that LIKED having you as a sort of central point of the Box.
That last point is why her graduation hurt for so many people, because it felt like an era of Hololive itself came to an end with her departure.

Now, obviously holo branding as a whole has moved away from crude jokes into innuendos so that they are kid friendly and family friendly, while also having some spice for the adult audience. This change brought in far more people than what they had before.
They still respect her contributions to creating the "box".
Anons that were around at the time for the most part did like her as a whole.

Yeah, I mean the reason so many of the EN audience flooded to Hololive instead of Nijisanji (who had bigger talents at the time) was because hololive humor was more independent of language and more into visual/audio humor and general "anime vibes" making you laugh at the appropriate cues.

With the advent of HoloEN, JP needed to solidify their own fanbase roots, which is why they went full JP. But most of the humor is still there, if a bit more subdued under the language barrier.

That humor was a GREAT introduction to hololive at a time when there were millions of foreign eyes on them due to the pandemic.
