This is one thing that has been concerning me lately, I saw it posted last thread. Cover has noted in some of their financial reports that the way they make their money is changing. Merchandise, brand deals and concert revenues make up the majority of their income now. So they're clearly ramping up, making the girls do more concerts (Fes, Breaking Dimensions, World Tour) even if it it massively cuts into stream output so they can sell more tickets and shill more concert merch.

But Hololive started as a streaming company and a large part of the reason it has exceeded the popularity of traditional Japanese idol groups globally is in large part because people like watching streams and that regularly occurring, personal and unscripted content. Forming that relationship with the streamer is what motivates me to buy merch and attend concerts. If they cut that out or reduce its prevalence too much I'd have no reason to keep watching stuff like Holofes.

I honestly feel that they've already gone overboard with having EN attend Holofes AND have their own concert, it's clearly putting a high burden on some of the girls who don't travel well or didn't join up for singing and dancing. If Cover keeps trying to chase profits and forgets what made them successful in the first place (live streams of cute girls playing games and chatting), all while forcing the talents to accept a higher burden of work than they are comfortable with, they'll jeopardize the company's long term viability.

EN was starving for events, so last summer's Splash Party with Connect the World and this summer's two day concert is what the EN branch needed.
The studio schedule needs to be unfucked so that everything can be recorded at times that are practical for the talents, and no more last minute window changes causing stream cancellations. I think they have gone a bit heavy with merch this time around, but good for them for getting that stuff out quickly.
