Part of it comes from her streamer teamate who sent haters her way. He was hyperaggressive and charged into losing battles while Aqua played more defensive and fled when she realized they were third-partied. He called her "fucking noob" and sicced his fanbase on her when she was the only one left alive.
Another part was when she reached Diamond I and said "now the real challenge begins" pissing off the armchair Apex pros.
Finally when she aborted the challenge and later announced her hiatus, all the antis targetted her because they realized they affected her, especially as her streaming frequency decreased considerably leading up to her announcement. Her waiting room for the announcement was full of mean comments and "she's graduating" to the point where she put the chat to member's only. Then the dislikes shot through the roof
