A lot of people's fans are insufferable. Doesn't make them any less entertaining in a vacuum. I know audience participation is a big part of streaming in general, but unless literally everything they do is interact with the chat, it's easy to ignore and just treat it like a recorded video a lot of the time. Bettel's appeal isn't him camping the pre-chat, its silly bits, complaining about Fiji water, throwing a magic 8 ball across his room and getting freaked out that it will roll down the stairs, having the vocal cadence of a standup comedian, etc.
