I agree that subs are important but I think they only should be used when the audio is more important than what's happening on screen because subs will attract the watcher's attention and they won't focus on other parts very well.
TikTok works weirdly, like one anon mentioned, you have to use it almost religiously, and grind that algo, which is pretty rough with clips since gameplay works poorly because portrait resolution is favored.
I have been slacking on uploading recently because I'm not seeing it as a useful tool for a third party to help someone.
