Sankisei was the first generation where Cover put a big "push" into promoting them. Hololive FANTASY, that's the first time they ever even named a gen outside of GAMERS. They threw some money at them compared to before.
Then Yonkisei right after, HoloForce, and they got more of a push, went bigger, did more. More people in the company that saw Hololive as a legit JOB instead of a side gig.
Gokisei next. "HoloFive." Now it's more "people who see it as a job" than it was "people who joined for a fun side gig." Rokisei/HoloX not that far behind.
All of these gens have been presented differently, more so each time, and closer to the current "Hololive is a BIG DEAL" branding compared to the original stuff. That's a shift, the shifts weren't just from the negative stuff like the holocaust.
