Yeah I think I'm gonna start decoupling from Hololive.
The old fun times when the company cared for the fans and everyone could have fun in SMP servers with multiple projects and festivals and all sorts of just random interactions was slowly dying off over time, limiting the experience of the "box".
My oshi desperately tried to stop it single handedly with her projects like hardcore minecraft and Ark, but that was clearly not enough.
The company as a whole seems much more focussed on normie pandering, increasing bts sponsor work, causing reduction in streams.
None of the newer recruits (barring the dogs) have really appealed to me, and most of them aren't as joined with the greater Hololive box as it used to be back in the 2020-21 era.

And now with the departure of one of the biggest pillars of the old Hololive, and a first army member.. it's time to admit that it'll only be a slow collapse from here.
And by "slow" I mean 5-10 years. Which might be enough time to enjoy whoever remains. But the graduation of every single old guard will lessen the company as a whole. They have no successors. No one that's as good as the old JPs, at least in that big of a number. Everyone new is just fine with resting on their laurels, taking up too much bts work (which get big returns but reduce streaming time) and just not building the box.

There's no one among the new recruts doing box building works or organizing big branch-wide collabs. It's always the old guard doing it. Most of the fun collab groups are also from the old guard. The new girls just don't have that same level of drive or talent or whatever it is they had.

I'm gonna stick to watching just my oshis from now on. And just disconnecting from "greater" Hololive over time. No matter how entertaining the streams are, they WILL come to an end eventually. Once my oshis graduate it'll be time to bid goodbye to Hololive as well.
I doubt any of you EN only folks will understand these feelings, but in case there's some anons who remember the old days and are still around, I wish you well, hope the remaining years will be enjoyable.
