I am at my fucking limit. I can understand wanting to play, but there are more than just you in the chat. 1. I think it's a good idea, especially to use as bite sized filler between streams, and can generate good buzz for YT/Twitter
2. I have seen some skits by indie JP chuubas that were fun, a while ago, but can't recall specifics. Sonething short and funny would be best imho. Hololive animations are a decent example, though high budget, basically skits.
3. I don't see much from Western chuubas which is a shame, seems more common with JP chuubas.
4. Skits, readings, silly jokes, ritual content that fans can look forward to like good morning/night. Content you can expect will create regular viewers, people like to tune in.
5. Any where from 30 seconds to 3-5 min, I think more than that may be a bit much, though a hard max could be 10 min.
6. I recall reading somewhere that people prefer highly consumable content in the 10 min range in the morning and before bed. With my schedule, morning is likely optimal, because I tend to watch streams after work and sometimes until bed time, though short content could certainly fit into my evening or even lunchtime routines easily.
7. I would say fairly so most days, but especially when watching my favorite alium.

1) Pre-recorded offers the ability to script scenarios, which is almost impossible to do properly in a livestream. It's the bread and butter of Youtube, so there's always a place for high production videos that are fun.
2) I'm bad about branching out, so my go-to examples are going to have to be the Holo-Graffiti skits. There's so much crammed into so small a timeframe that it's entertaining just to see how fast they can pace comedic content without it being too fast.
3) Kwap's got her shitposts, and any curated and edited clip compilations are usually fun. I absolutely adore Nyaru's Chuulips reel.
4) Dicking around in video editing software to tart up clips people take in Twitch, or more recently Youtube itself if they're lucky. Something as simple as subtitles with cuts removing some unnecessary dead time, and it'll be a much more attractive prospect to new viewers to check out the chuuba AND it'll give the regulars a short treat to enjoy between streams.
5) Pre-recorded skits can go on as long as they need to, but probably should fit until that magical 10 minute mark for easy of watching. Clips themselves really aught not go beyond a minute apiece, unless it's a compilation or there's serious editing magic to make it enjoyable the whole way through.
6) Small bursts of content are able to be enjoyed at any time, which is part of the magic. There's a certain amount of inertia required to really sit down and watch a chuuba streaming, which sometimes isn't feasible due to exterior circumstances, but when you see a finished video length, the only mental horsepower is calculating if you have that much time to sit and enjoy. Personally, I like watching them before I've got any streams going, or when I'm going to take a break from watching streams and have time to sit and enjoy them.
7) Still fighting melancholia, but I'll be alright.

Another good example is Kizuna Ai, who mostly makes pre-recorded content, its her bread and butter, though as such, her content feels more produced than spontaneous and tends to be longer.

This style may not suit you personally, though you could put a spin on it, like doing vocal impressions or short songs.
Maybe a weekly or bi-weekly music spotlight? Since you enjoy music, every week or so you could share a brief clip of your model grooving out to a short clip of a song you're currently enjoying, and then give a short word on what you like about it. Could be as simple as "This song is really upbeat and puts me in a great mood lately, you should check it out!" Or "I really enjoy the lyrics of this song, they really speak to how I'm feeling today!". Hell, it could be a song that feels in sync with the weather that day. Any excuse to make a little clip of yourself and put it out there, basically.

This is genius, and I would love to figure this out, but I am not social media or people smart enough to begin to know what that may be.

I too tend to watch streams more likely when I am getting ready in the morning and when I am up late at night. That makes sense, as to why people like bite sized content. I always felt bad having longer streams because who has the time to watch all day? I think pre-recorded content is a lot kinder to your viewers in the long run.

It think so, especially with more mainstream viewers. People like to laugh and be in on jokes. Meat has made content like this, and the scuff of using your l2d with random assets adds to the humor. If you're lucky, something may even go viral.
Still, if you don't want to be memey, why not be educational? You could share interesting space facts!
Also, if you have ideas, you're not creatively bankrupt! Everything begins as a concept, just like art. I would suggest brainstorming with someone who is willing to chat about your ideas, maybe another vtuber if that's what you're comfortable with. Two heads are better than one, after all. From a creator stand point, there is a lot of support from the devs, to the point every few nights they talk about the current issues or the lie of the platform. It has everything that twitch haves and the mana system which lets you either give mana( Kinda like channel points) or Elixir ( Kinda like bits) If you reach certain threshold you are given something called a rocket which pushes you directly to the front page for the duration of the stream. From a viewer standpoint you can support your oshi just by being there as it matters.

My main complaint is that clips can be at a minimum 30 seconds.

I think they went through a pretty serious period where they were investing in non porn content creators and now they think they're at a point where relying on it is viable. They are going through the transformation that was inevitable.
