After watching minto play Bloons, I want to play It too, but i don't think is a PC game, but a casual tablet/phone game. I've seen 2 different versions of Bloons TD on the play store. I'm not partial to musicals and the kind of theatrical music they often have, but that's where her voice is the liveliest and has the most power, so I'd like to hear even more of it. It's pretty obvious that's her comfort zone despite a lot of those she has sung being really difficult.

There was a LOT of falseflagging and raids going on back then, which is why I say "a supposed dragoon". For the first month or so there was someone that would constantly show up and post in each thread about how the other thread was seething or raiding or were antis or whatever. It was an obvious attempt to start infighting, and none of the regulars there cared for it, but maybe some people that only visited /mint/ did get the impression that /lazu+/ was hostile to the split because of that.

I personally read and occasionally post on both, though this thread has increasingly been the more active one. /lazu+/ sometimes even ends up having more live posting than here though.

For me it's a mix of emotions. Nostalgia, bitterness that she wasn't treated better, and pride in what she accomplished. I miss her design and some of the people she interacted with. When I say "I miss Pomu" it's not because I want her to go back to being Pomu, but more of a general melancholy over a version of her whom I was fond of, who no longer exists. I think many Pomudachi-turned-Wisps feel this way, and not in an unhealthy way, with the exception being the toxic ones shippers who stopped supporting Mint because they couldn't move on from the past.

Zoomer zoom zoom brain. A game being good to stream is directly proportional to how entertaining the streamer is. I love Nui's streams of JRPGs while I started falling asleep by the 3rd stream of Xenoblade from Elira and dropped her.
Just like I found Pomu's MGS streams to be the only entertaining ones compared to to Reimu and Elira (or MGR in case of Selen and Rosemi).

From strictly a streamer/numbers point of view, long running game series *do* tend to be worse. People tend to be less likely to watch a stream if it's a series and they've missed one of the previous ones. Any long running game video series you check will have declining viewership over time.
I can see a particular streamer maybe working around that if they do it often enough that it's just normalized that all streams are gonna have the JRPG going on in the background and you can just listen to her yap if you want.

I'm not even a zoomer, most of the JRPGs out there are honestly boring. The gameplay is typically 30 hours of repetitive number-go-up slop interspersed with snippets of an uninspired story (which could have been told in 5 hours but had 3 filler arcs of trash to pad it out). You only like them because you played nothing but Nintendo games as a child, so you have nostalgia for these types of series. I was originally trying to be nice about it but both of you wanted to be autistic and mean apparently.

I can refute it, but is it worth it to bother? You've rolled an entire genre into one misguided stereotype. A "pacing issue" isn't a concrete easily definable thing, it's a preference. Many people would say that LOTR or The Hobbit have horrific pacing issues but these works are loved by many still. There is no absolute template for a piece of work in writing, if you had said you don't like slow burn JRPGs then sure fine that'd be your preference and we'd be done, but you've just made a big sweeping statement about a genre that has had many diverse works written in the last four decades, with not so much as an ounce of nuance, so do I assume you can even parse the words I'm typing here?

I personally think JRPGs can work as stream content, but they need 2 things I'm fairly confident Minto (and the majority of chuubas) can't do.
Streamer needs to be consistently progressing. I don't think once a week even cuts it, 2 or 3 sessions a week to get through with the plot fresh enough in both streamer and chat's minds.
Streamer needs to keep "gameplay" to a minimum. This is more important with turn based titles but can still be true in more action combat. The selling point of the content is the streamer's reaction to the story and character dynamics. A player who doesn't grasp the combat immediately, is going to waste more time in it, preventing getting to the actual meat of the game's potential.
