I wouldn't put that much weight on the live, some people are seriously overestimating it's importance. Expecting it to be something on the same level as Non stop story is just delusional when there's only 9 Holostars and only 3 good singers, plus going by the estimates from what should have been their anniversary celebration. The live is just a neat little piece of fanservice for the local fans since they're heavily neglected but just that. I'd say the true test is if they release a Gen 4 that means they actually have confidence in them for once in a lifetime, some of them still have quite a bit of space to grow as well as some commitment issues Izuru, Oga, Shien so a foreign branch is the last thing they need right now

I'm not saying the live will be the same size as NSS, but the fact that Cover is even willing to do it shows that they're interested in expanding that branch. NSS did brought new fans to Hololive in general, and the Stars live most likely have the same objective, even if the higher ups should tamper their expectations and not expect a huge jump in popularity for the boys. And I heavily doubt they'll do a new Gen in the current state. If Cover is any smart they'll probably wait until all of them did their 3D debuts, since those streams are the ones that grab the most attention froim outsiders, and then announce a 4th gen to ride the wave if they're even interested in debut new members this year.

The Hololive girls don't have that many performance level singers either. Live events like this, doubly so for idol shows, aren't about the quality of music. The energy and polish of the event are what most fans are after. They can and will enjoy mediocre singers as long as they're having fun and watching somebody they like. Izuru released an EP out of nowhere during his anniversary, something he shares with only a few select members of Hololive. In general, I don't mind EN comments as long as they are on topic, don't chat among themselves, and don't dominate the chat (the last point can be dismissed for something like Temma and Aruran's English streams.)
