In general, they will have a vod channel that uploads full vods of everything, and a clip channel that puts up edited stuff from streams as vidoes or youtube shorts. They may also make stuff specifically for youtube that's never streamed, like Geega's podcast or original youtube shorts. Then there are fan channels that edit and put up clips too. If it's not obvious why this would be allowed or even encouraged by the talent, it lets them find often totally different audiences. Like there are gta rp clip channels that will put up moments from Geega's gta character interacting with people. That can get eyes on her that might never otherwise. Commercially, their own clip channels and vod channels are very unlikely to actually make significant money. They exist just to help promote the character and brand as a whole.

That is what happens with a reliable VOD channel. If there is a stream I missed I go there first. I would do the same with Vshojo members, but none of them have reliable VODs on Youtube.

The consistency and also because he streams in JST so a lot of the big stream watchers who can't watch him live will watch the youtube vods instead. It's why Mouse would benefit the most from fast vod uploads since she is mostly JST time as well. Yes, ublock will block all vod ads, but these days does not block stream ads, you need alternative solutions for those. With no ublock you would get vod ads, at least it does for me in the usa when testing it just now on a geega vod.

In Mouse's case it is hard to tell when a VOD was from, there is a streamed on date in the description, but that is not where it should be with how often she streams and with how VODs are uploaded wildly out of order. There is also no linking back to VODs from edited videos.
