The western vtuber scene is still young, it only really took off after HoloEN's first generation debuted, which was less than a year ago. And since most westerners' experience with English vtubers is HoloEN, an all-female group, males who COULD become good western vtubers don't have a frame of reference. But the western vtuber scene is still young and can change. After NijiEN releases its male wave, I expect to see an increase in male indies as well as some smaller companies hiring some male ENtubers.

And it used to be this way for vidya streams back when I streamed for /v/: just dudes on mic shooting the shit and playing vidya that all the dudes wanted to see.

That and my face is scarred to shit after a surgery to remove cancer and shit. Fucker botched up part of the procedure; while I’ve learned to accept that I just look like this now, I doubt my viewers want to see that shit. Also privacy helps a ton; thankfully I got an iPhone for the tracking shit.

I just don’t want to jump on a bandwagon or seem like a poser. Although I’m sure my viewers won’t mind. Those guys are cool. At least I hope they don’t mind.
