HMZ are just fangirls of the original 7 and are similar culture-wise.

Ephemira are a lot more modern vtuber culture with twitch culture influences. Lots of guerillas, long streams, and collabs. I think they bring a lot of fresh energy into the corp, as all previous generations are on cruise control.
The most obvious thing is there are now kawaii-hosted events like hiyori's relay or Nano's Pam-style concert so we aren't just relying on invites to stuff.
Ephemira has kind of woken up the kawaii presence in the vtuber world, but their style is so different from previous gens that I think kawaii fans will be split into OG fans and people who just watch Ephemira
