I think Holostars is something you really can only cultivate a sustainable audience for from the start; it's obvious that the same mistakes keep happening in a way that makes "saving" it only possible with a complete restructure and rebranding. Tbh Tempus really did have a good start, a lot of people who weren't diehard anti-homo checked them out, the "brotuber" meme was actually being believed, and Vesper was really beloved for a while. It all went down the shitter when the cross-gender collabs happened. The irony of it all was that it was the homolover trio that got the ball rolling. Between Mori organizing all the collab spam, Kronii's infamous betrayal, and Ame outright shitting on her fans out of spite, whatever "relations" the two factions had necessarily became hostile. They just HAD to fucking cuck their fans, they couldn't just play Mario Party in piece no, they just had to go full spite-mode on unicorns.

Even then it was still somewhat salvageable if it wasn't for Vesper completely fucking melting down and basically shitting all over the floor like an autist having an episode. He single-handedly ruined the sense of "unity" that the Tempus sisters/fags had. Add Magni outright grifting and betraying Hololive into the mix and you got the perfect "see, we told you male vtubers were a mistake" moment.

I think having some cross-collabers is fine i.e. Towa, Bae, Mori, FBK, etc. but the Stars should have been segregated at all official events and in all official promos. For all intents and purposes they can only function if they are treated as an entirely separate entity not the weird "unity" shit management has been trying to push for a while now. Unity can never happen when 90% of the Hololive talents will outright refuse to participate in anything involving the Stars
