I think there is an obvious long-term problem with creating an "inner circle" of fans that the streamer is more involved with. Once you start catering to a specific group of established fans, you are going to get new viewers whose first impression of your stream is content that is decidedly not for them, which discourages people from getting involved at all. It basically just a different flavor of the modwall phenomenon.
I don't think there is anything wrong in showing appreciation to people who support the stream, this is more in response to some of the potential Anilive steam ideas that got discussed last night. Things like "tier list of my viewers" or "try to identify my viewers maros by their writing style". A streamer is going to have their favorite community members, but I think that when you start openly acknowledging that some fans are more well-liked than others, you open the can of worms that leads to bitterness or animosity between viewers.

If any tributes are /here/ or if anyone has an audition experience, did you have to show photo ID or do a video call showing your face for the interview/onboarding process? I imagine you'd have to, but I'm a bit schizo about privacy so I'd like to know beforehand so I don't waste auditioners' time. Thanks.
