But I have to ask when's the last time you saw treasure planet? Because for me the last third with robot jar jar was pretty tough on re-viewing.
Also Edge of Tomorrow is a tough sell for a favorite front-runner. It was cool and all, good enough for a rewatch even, but it didn't really leave much of a lasting impression other than that. I get Hellboy because it has a unique style and the Ron Perlman casting is really good, but in comparison neither edge's visuals nor Tom Cruise's performance stood out to me.

Well you should have chosen worse movies if you wanted me to be really rude. But my criticism basically comes down to Edge of Tomorrow is a fairly bland movie and it being one of your potential favorites reflects poorly on your taste and makes you look like a philistine. It's not even in Tom Cruise's top 3 movies.
Also the best animated movie is either Rango or The Incredibles.
You clearly enjoy gritty/fantastical visuals and the aesthetics of hand-animation over more artistic/emotionally heavy or complex narratives, which is fine.
Based on your taste I'd recommend you check out Faust (1994) and maybe Xtro (1982). Or if you want something goofy you could try Vampire Clay.

Robot Carnival like most anthology films is uneven, but it does contain some great shorts. I'd have to know which in particular are your favorites to judge accurately. Jin-Roh is a solid choice, fine piece of realist animation. I'd say the central romance is pretty unbelievable and the fairy tale analogy is forced, but those are nitpicks. It's good entertainment.

Definitely the opening and the ending since the robots remind of the old elaborate cuckoo clocks and the absurdity of a giant warmachine tank in the shape of a carnival advertisment in giant letters is just too damn good. Deprive and Cloud because excellent narrative without dialogue and the music is based and made me download the OST immediately. Then Meiji Karakuri Bunmei Kitan: Kōmōjin Shūrai no Maki & Niwatori Otoko to Akaikubi because good example of pre and post industrial clockwork automaton designs. Plus, Kōmōjin Shūrai no Maki reminds me of Hiwou's War, another anime that involves a giant clockwork automaton. Presence had a decent dub though, but I mostly watched everything in the original japanese laserdisc but dled the dub to compare, that and everything else in the film was okay but filtered me because the concept was too deep to understand for my tiny otomo brain... but those first few I described were my favorite.
