Mori(and almost every Holo really) underuse the amount of flexibility ER gives you. Largely because a lot of them tend to use somber weapons rather than normal ones which tend to be a lot more rigid about the build. One of biggest advantages normal weapons have is the fact you can slap many of 90 ashes of war on them and then adjust affinity to fit the fight and give you an edge. Fighting a living tree or fingercreepers? Change affinity to fire and watch those things burn. Having trouble with deathbirds or skeletons? Holy damage will obliterate them. Something is notably weak to bleed/frostbite? Sure, you can add that too. You don't even need to adjust the build much, you can get some basic amount of bleed/frostbite even with lower intelligence or arcane - though you'll sacrifice quite a bit of damage this way. But it's still an entirely possible option. And unless you want to spread between STR and DEX, you can always simply change a weapon to scale of only one of those two stats. And that's not even mentioning ashes themselves and all the cool shit they can do. Unlike respeccing character, altering weapons is completely free and the only limits are weapon/ash and ash/affinity compatibilities. Hell, the only thing stopping you from improving every weapon to +24/+9 is having to commit genocide against some innocent frog people and birds.

It stops the game from being able to save so you can try out a build and reverse it if you don't like it by just reloading the game. If you kill a boss you can just turn off read only and it will start saving like normal again.

On PC you can have all sorts of external tools. You can duplicate individual character saves, you can even just run Cheat table if you want to mess around in the game. I do that with Radahn on a lvl200 character I use only for that after beating the game with him once - I revive Radahn, give myself a larval tear to respec into a new build I want to try and then fight him that way. Obviously should never be done with characters you intend to take online or into coop play or even be used within playthrough but I'm not beating a 100+ hours game and 30+ hours DLC just to try Radahn again unless I specifically want to try a build throughout an entire run.

Using summons(spirit ashes first and foremost, story summons second because they usually adjust boss HP for those) because they change the flow of the fight completely and from gameplay perspective, it's more of a negative. Nobody seriously believes in the "did not beat the game" thing but acting like beating Malenia with someone else tanking waterfowls for you is same as learning how to dodge it up close is also wrong. 2. Using outright broken stuff like bottles with rolling sparks ash before the patch yesterday(2 shot Radahn, oneshot quite a few other bosses), Moonveil in 1.0, Dueling shields, shieldpoking with Antspur.

I'm actually surprised to learn this too. I beat him 1v1 on lvl10 scadutree pre-buff and found him perfectly manageable. He's hard, sure, but not that hard. There's only one "holy shit how do I dodge this" attack and I think he wouldn't feel right on lvl15+ scadutree. It's still an impressive showing from Mori and Igon because she was on like what, 5? 5 is definitely way too low for that fight.

7-8 is around 10 pre-buff so that aligns well with my experience. The most important thing is that you don't get oneshot by his beam attack on that level and that one is by far the hardest to dodge. I think Mori managed to almost dodge it at least once, getting hit only by the very last part of it.

I've never seen him do something like that when I summoned him but I'll admit, I was a bit too focused on a giant dragon trying to bite my head off. As long as I hear Igon screaming or roaring, dude's doing okay. You could probably check Biboo's vods to see if he was weird in her playthrough. I don't think any other Holo besides Mori, Biboo and Peko fought Bayle yet and quick search shows Peko forgot to summon him on the successful run.
