There's not that many areas she can go to if she's dodging the keep. She has already visited and fully explored Jagged Peak, it's pretty fucking empty really. If chat manages to direct her, she can explore the eastern part of the plateau past Rellana and also find the path to the north-western lower part of map she wanted to get to. The path there is really counter obvious since you go there from the eastern side of the same plateau through a tunnel. And from there, she can find a path down into the riverbed on the western side of map. Not sure if she explored Charo's hidden grave area(it's basically next to/on top of Cerulean Coast where she found Yoda sword). I don't think she found seal-blocked underground path under Cerulean Coast so she's got to find that but the path won't open until she approaches the keep. She can also run around Finger field next to Jagged Peak but that one is just really fucking empty outside of just really unique scenery.
Once she decides to go to the keep she can really explore the entire map besides a tiny chunk hidden behind one boss and the very endgame area, it's all about finding path to some areas. They're sometimes pretty tricky to locate.
