Honestly that's about where I expected it to be? Ina's not the best singer and it doesn't matter how artsy she and Lumina try to make things, it won't ever hold a candle to a proper animated MV.

Original songs don't move numbers anymore. It's all tiktok shit or nothing.
Subaru's song doesn't even have 200k views in three months.
Over 500k is good nowadays, and over 1 million is almost only for high quality MVs.

No, she is not? See picrel
Moreover, CCV doesn't always reflect song views. Frankly speaking, song views are a matter of both having a lot of people listening to your song and / or having your fans looping it over and over. Unless your song goes viral, the latter will be way more important.

I got a picture. So of her streams in May/June, the only ones to break 5 digit viewers max are her hardcore event MC streams, one elden ring stream, one passpartout stream, her collab with Mori/Henya and her birthday. Only her birthday stream averages 5view, the others average 4view.

In today's times, songs like that are meant to reach only their target audience. Look at Pekora for example, did you know she has an album?? no, right?? unless you watched her sololive or you're a really fan of her, you wouldn't know that she has a lot of songs. She also has a cover with less than 300k views, there's more people watching her VODS or streams than the ones interested in songs. Think of every girl that has famous songs in holo since 2023 and every single one of them have a dance or a meme MV or showing ass at some point or sexual things. Other example is AZKi and IRyS, only pioneers and irystocrats listen to their songs, but then they are among the most successful holos in the recent years thanks to their streams. If they really wanted views, they would just follow the formula and that's it, or just push your music to make it mainstream like Suisei

I think this is partially due to youtube algorithm stop pushing music video on their normal site and migrate them to youtube music, which barely anyone uses. Song number will significantly die down after the first few days unless it's being promoted on other platform (mainly tiktok). At this day and age, going viral is pretty much the only way to get good song number

Literally every YT Premium subscriber if they are on phone?
Also that's not really a case. Notice the difference between a video and a song itself. It's considered by YT algo as two different uploads and actually YT still pushes music videos.

The actual reason is that this song just doesn't follow the "meta".

on an MV and the "Artist Name - Topic" upload.

you think youtube would push so much for the war against adblock if there were many premium users? Most of the user base still refuse to get premium
>It's considered by YT algo as two different uploads and actually YT still pushes music videos.
and none of them are pushed on the normal site so my point still stands. I have premium and I rarely go to the music site/app itself. Pretty much no MV is on my recommendation on the main site, not even Gura's lolikami. The ones that "show up", is hidden behind their auto-generated playlist
>The actual reason is that this song just doesn't follow the "meta".
there's a reason the meta becomes meta. It helps negate the youtube algorithm by using other platforms for promoting, the thing youtube refuses to do

>> No.79644661

>>79644157
>you think youtube would push so much for the war against adblock if there were many premium users

Afaik, they have around 100 million subscribers now. Which is a lot, to be honest. But for a company like Google though? I mean of course they would push for the war against adblock, they either want people watching ads or getting a premium, both options are good for them.

>Pretty much no MV is on my recommendation on the main site, not even Gura's lolikami

That's rather odd but that's expectable from YouTube's constant A/B tests (there is a chance they use different recommendation *models* for different groups of users)

>> No.79644958

>>79644661
>they have around 100 million subscribers now
that's 5% of their userbase according to google. Not a lot at all
And I use youtube for mainly music and stream. If even that can't get MVs to appear in my recommendation then I don't know how an average user can get it

>> No.79645351

>>79644958
Mm, no no, you didn't get it. The thing is, they really seem to use different recommendation models just on random groups of users before implementing some "HUGE UPDATE" (shit). Not so long ago, for example, some users (including me) had random 2 view videos and streams recommended specifically on the 3rd position of the right menu on videos. MVs not appearing on the main page, to add to that, is just a symptom of all these shitty YT's experiments. I get the MVs on main page, not in mixes even.

So I don't know, they just like to break things, I guess.

>She already sang it twice before in concerts. So the level if curiosity was lower.

Artists literally have new songs in tours much before the release of some new album. If the song is big - concerts are just the best way of promoting it and gaining attention to it, not the other way around. What?
