because nexas exist solely to provide content for anilive. its the spunoff marketing branch of anilive that got too big and needed to become a different company to hide the conflict of interest.
anilive's value proposition is not the idol culture where you oshi one chuuba and follow them for life. theyre not competing with other vtuber agencies. its the reality model that at one time, you can select from a list of streamers who will talk to you. and if you find a lull in conversation or that theyre boring, switch to anyone else streaming then.
its why the first 27 were scouted from reality and why they have those habits they were never told to unlearn. why marketing is done on tiktok not youtube chuuba fans because thats their target audience. why overlap hell exists because each individual streamer doesnt matter, its all about giving the platform enough of a boost to gain traction so that they can show the VCs that they have market growth

i want to believe that, that nexas is just naive. the thing that gets me is that they have the funding for over a hundred models. and their strategy is commissioning those models and debuting gens so close to each other so many at a time like theyre throwing those models away. if they had that kind of money a normal vtubing agency, even a naive one, would likely spend it on something besides models, spend some on marketing their chuubas, music covers or big events like 3dlives like v4m.
and then where does the money for all those models come from and why? why would any investor fund a small corpo like nexas especially one intending to be locked behind an ios app that requires testflight and debuting far away from android release. a vtubing agency whose strategy is throwing models into the meat grinder with no marketing which would raise potential investor eyebrows as their business plan proposal.
