ER is better about that than DS3 (in my opinion, the worst core design in the series. while DS2's detail work was weakest and caused lots of nitpicks, it was a cohesive whole. DS3 tried to slap BB's gameplay advancements onto the Souls framework and didn't realize that enemy aggression and speed doesn't work when you still move as slow as the DS1/2 character), having given you better sprint, jumping, mobile Arts of War, Torrent, crouch, etc. But even still, it feels like you can't find an actual opening in many of the bosses to do SIGNIFICANT hits. You just have to wait for their longest recovery time, tap them with your bitch hit, and then hope they didn't chain that move into their quickest start-up.
