The uncomfortable truth is, I'm not sure if there are any non-FOTM games that do consistently well in the EN market apart from Minecraft and FPS games (Apex/Valorant). Maybe something like Rust or GTAV online RP? Just chatting has been the most popular "game" on Twitch for years now, but some girls like Gura and Ame are allergic to setting up actual talk streams and would rather heavily nerf themselves by calling them "superchat readings". For every holoEN member, minecraft is almost always the stream that gets them their best numbers, apart from Karaokes ofc.

Other non-FOTM games that do well are horror games and RE games that haven't been played to death. Platformers, roguelites, metroidvania, card games, JRPGs, retro games always do poorly. The EN audience does not have the stomach for kusoges, like those simple RPG maker games HoloJPs play, that the JPs do so they can't just copy HoloJP all the time.

You're probably right. A lot of the twitch gaming streams are pretty fragmented in what people will watch. You have specialists that do relatively well (Speed runners, challenge runs, etc) and platformers really depend on the player being skilled to be entertaining beyond one or two streams.

I'm a Gura fan so don't mistake me as an anti, but Gura needs to find her "go to". Take a lot of the more popular JP Holos like Pekora and Miko. Pekora has a go to of Minecraft and long form playthroughs on the weekends like JRPGs. Miko has a go to of Minecraft and GTA. Gura on the other hand seems to be playing a different game every single stream. She could have a go to with rhythem games and DBD which are things she is actually really good at, but she hasn't played either of those in a while. I think she should be doing, for example, Project Diva challenge runs where she works to perfect every song in the game. People would tune in for that because she is damn good in the game and its a tangible goal that the audience can follow along with. I will admit that Minecraft isn't the buff for EN the same way it is for JP due to lack of members but hopefully that changes with Gen 2 and they get more members on the server.

Rhythm games(Project Diva/Muse Dash) could have been Gura's equivalent of Suisei's tetris, but chinese devs revoked Muse Dash permissions and Project Diva is a bitch to plan. DBD actually got pretty strong numbers for her, probably because she knows how to play the game + can zatsu while playing, but she stopped playing it for some reason. At the risk of saturating it and making them less special, Gura should honestly do biweekly or monthly karaoke streams like Suisei, and start some long-term Minecraft project so she has a reason to play it weekly.

From what she's saying in her SC readings, it doesn't seem like getting good numbers are her top priority, she's more focused on finishing old bad-number games like DMC3 and Super Metroid. That means the numbers are probably gonna be rough for the rest of August.

Kanae without stamina is already still an above average pitcher. It's rng + they're limited to 3 years, so if you have an amazing pitcher already, there's no reason to dump everything to try to train another pitcher that would be slightly better assuming you even get good enough rolls.
