I just realized Hoshikawa and Kanae implemented an interesting rule for their GTA server that probably plays a lot on its success in terms of peak combined ccv.
It's how they only allow streams of the server on certain hours, more specifically between 19.00 JST to 3.00 JST, an 8 hour window.
This rule does the following:
>maximizes the number of povs/streamers at the assigned time, making the server more lively and populated and for more things to happen
>the session always start at 18.00 JST where they do the daily news stream, funnelling every interested viewers on that frame before ever going to their respective pov of choice
>gives the viewers a time to rest, so they don't spend dozens of hours watching their oshi only not to be able to watch again the next day

However this rule begs the question of 'why', limiting streaming hours can prevent potential interested viewer from not able to watch streams if their schedule doesn't allow them to, the same scheduling issue also applies to the players/streamers. It honestly seems like they ARE trying to maximize ccv peak numbers despite it being ultimately useless as SCs aren't even allowed for GTA streams, maybe it's a KPI thing or something they planned to show in the next shareholder meetings.
Either way hopefully holos or cover management can take a thing or two from this, as regardless the reason why they chose to do that, it works and niji streamers and viewers were able to schedule their time to follow the rule.
