Do you remember when Mikeneko made a Fan Discord and it was eventually raided by her antis who started spamming CP? She was too lazy to take any actual steps towards fixing the issue, so she just left it until the Discord mostly died
However, what ended up pushing her over the edge and made her actually delete the server was someone had joined with a Discord profile made to look exactly like Kirschtorte, who would spam the place every day "@"ing her to call her his onahole. She logged on one day in the middle of the night, saw hundreds of messages implying that she was Kirsch's onahole and deleted the entire server. This was last year and she has made no attempt to make a new server

Now her fast growth make sense. In less than a year and she's already consistently hitting over 1k and on Youtube, which is more difficult than on Twitch and on top of it she's an indie. The likes of Pippa took years to become 4views but Pillow did it in just a few months. The only other vtuber I've seen getting this big this fast before was ShyLily. In the blink of an eye she went from a nobody to 10k viewers per stream.

If it's an official one then that is a problem waiting to happen. Twitter is probably the best option for GFEs to interact with their fans on IMO, because they can just make it so nobody can DM or respond to them aka groomers can't butt in, there are no sanctioned mods or tiers of fans trying to gatekeep each other, and the chuuba can come and talk on her own terms and maybe do Twitter spaces etc as special bonus rounds with the fans. Discords also have a habit of being extremely off topic much of the time and become about "the community" i.e people are there for each other more than the chuuba and this is just an unrelated circlejerk that promotes gatekeeping.
