I said this before but it's asinine that they tie rewards to channel growth while keeping everyone too busy to work on their channel. The people on top keep inclining and those on the bottom don't have time to try to catch up.

Their plan seems to be to eventually transitioning to mainly getting revenue from tertiary fans who barely know a thing about the talents, but so far it's the people who love them who buy the most shit. You can argue for merch vs superchat, but it's no coincidence that the big earners in super are mostly the ones that sell the most merch, with a few punctual exceptions. The superchat/viewership/membership runts aren't selling merch like crazy, talents usually perform well on every metric at once. Because it's the same fans driving all of them.
