Makes too much sense considering Dyarikku drew some of her oldest stuff in 2020, has a distinct style when it comes to drawing hair, and made a supportive post in early february bringing up the early commissions she made for Doki, leading me to believe she probably approached her to help with a new model in the same way Yuniiho did for Sayu.

It wouldn't be spite so much as just wanting to continue where she left off. She's finally roughly at the point where she left Nijisanji, if not a bit ahead of that in terms of audience. She loved the selen design more than anybody, so it's not too big of a deal for her to continue in the same vein. She doesn't have to start being an entirely different person just because she's not there anymore, since everything that Selen ever did was entirely through her own merits, despite Nijisanji constantly holding her back.
