Things are better now but they lost a lot of momentum and they are still the top of EN. Things are still a bit too slow on EN side and feels like a little more here and there would go a long way.
By the time EN got 3 gens JP had: Gen 0, 1, 2, Gamers, 3, 4, 5, and about to get holoX. The levels of support really aren't comparable

I agree with everything you said but I also think that beyond just the number of debuts, early HoloJP had an almost miraculous succession of heavy hitters debuting in every gen. Fubuki, Aqua, Korone, Miko, Suisei, Pekora, Marine, Coco, they all debuted or were absorbed into hololive shortly after one another and they were all a huge part of Hololive's growth in some way. Meanwhile on the EN side it feels like no one after Myth has managed to reach that level. The closest are probably Fauna and Mumei but Mumei is also far below her potential due to her retarded decision to sideline a one in a million hololive gig to focus on college, and Fauna isn't the type to even want the explosive growth that HoloJP achieved.
