Frankly... I don't know. I've never seen the end so up close and personal before. The most I could guess is "cry a lot, resolve to watch all their streams in full from that day until their graduation"... but after that is a big question mark. Maybe I'll finally move on from watching, maybe I'll find another to hold close. Maybe I'll find her again, making it big as an independent singer. Who knows?

I do not have an "oshi", I like many girls and this has been true for me since back when I autistically watched kpop groups in variety TV I could not understand. Hell, this is also true for Korea's old Tekken Crash TV tournaments; I still follow almost every single active player from those days.
When all the kpop groups I liked decreased massively in quality or heavily disbanded, I stopped watching them religiously. I still listen to their music, however, and that will never change. T-ara, SNSD, FX and 4Minute all always with me.
For me to stop watching chuubas there would have to be such a massacre of girls that it would, quite plainly, kill vtubing as a whole.

Genuine question. How do I return to the time where I passively watched and didn't care about never seeing that one vtuber ever again? I am attached to way too many vtubers. I know this industry isn't stable and people move on or get hurt and have to stop but it doesn't make it hurt any less when they stream their final stream.

I'd move on fairly quickly. We all go into this knowing they'll graduate one day so I'm not remotely attached in any way. In the end, they're just entertainment and it's all I've ever viewed them as.

Don't think I'd stop watching vtubers though. The one I like second best is Subaru, so I'd probably mainly watch her if she's still around then.

I'd become even more unstable and obsessive about catching every single one of her streams, probably go full denial for days and keep trying to WAKE UP as the graduation date came closer and closer.
