Steam Deck is better for portability because of the balance of power and battery. the Ally has better performance (most of the time) but with more juice and a fancier display it struggles to keep the battery alive and thermals decent, it's much better as a portable pc you can plug into the wall. the rest tend to fall closer to the Ally with similar or new problems, like lenovo's not-switch is neat but the controllers just aren't useful enough to actually justify existing.
so it depends what you want, basically, but I'll personally always recommend the deck for proper portable gaming and how good steamos is.

I understand and agree that it sucks but we also need to think about it from their perspectives. A lot of people in the company are introverted and either struggle to reach out naturally or feel like they have to get comfortable with a person through group collabs before reaching out. We also have to consider that the livers all have their own stuff to deal with, and or that timezones can make things more difficult. For behind the scenes support we won't really know what each person gives and gets beyond what we can infer from the livers talking about it or if we're told directly by a liver. When someone is more extroverted like Wilson, he easily ends up steaming with and making friends with the livers. For us fans there's like three paths:
1. Just support them in whatever way you can. Maybe send fan letters because they will filter out bad letters so your support could reach them and let them know that they are loved.
2. Join the livers so you can be the support and change you want to see from behind the scenes
3. Join management so you can be support and change in a different way
