Instead of /soc/posting lets try discussing actual vtubing and streaming for a bit.

From what I can see there are two kinds of streamers: personality and content-focus. Anything ouside of that tends to either have little to no traction or be so unfocused that it falls to accidental niche.

To be more clear about what I'm talking about I'll define.

Personality - A stream more in-line with traditional vtubing. The streamer is the focus and the content around the streamer is just a means of giving the streamer something to react to or present, but in almost all cases the streamer is the focus of the content. Viewers are encouraged to come to the stream to see the streamer and not necessarily to see (game name here) gameplay.

Content focused - The stream presents a specific kind of content in a particular way and showcase that content to the audience in a way that draws the audience to the content. (This is different than "I play games on stream" because the point is not to occupy your hands as a streamer but to actually present the game/react content/activity and draw the audience to see the content specifically.)

Are you aspiring to be a personality or a content-focused stream? What are you doing to cultivate your style of stream? How are you making use of that chosen style of stream to draw an audience?

Vtubing became streaming heavy after seeing how easy it was to hide your face behind an avatar. and then rather than spending hours on script writing, recording, then editing, all you have to do is hit go live to be a vtuber which is where everyone essentially falls under, a streamer

What he does well: he maintains a consistent high energy and is great at chatting which is a tandem skill for streamers and lends itself well to his Daiyalogues segments. he reminds me a lot of some of the Luxiem guys with his clueless himbo personality and could appearl to vtuber fans easily
What he could improve: though the airhead personality can be charming it can also wear thin because he overdoes it sometimes. he also should branch out more for his Daiyalogues instead of having only /asp/ies on

What he does well: he is charismatic and comfy yet entertaining. he is a good conversationalist that can multitask easily and he has a very nice voice which makes him fun to interact while he shows his great art skills. Charley is the one person I can't think of a comparison for but that could be a strength of his. he is uniquely Charley and to me that's a good thing especially for an artist.
What he could improve: truthfully i think he doesn't have many shortcomings. his biggest downfall will be the nature of his streams, because some people think art streams are boring, but i won't ever say he shouldn't do it.
Alpin and Ace Caswell also have a lot of potential. Ace needs to let his personality shine more. he feels too subdued as it is but he has a good voice and is charismatic. and Alpin is too new for me to judge well but he's off to a good start. both of them i could see in Holostars. Pantsu is also doing good right now but he has been around longer and I'm focusing more on newer /asp/ies with this. Pantsu could easily be where Haru is now if his momentum keeps up though

Tierlist is partly based on how easy do I think they would be to draw them myself(I'm not a good artist) and how well do I think they distinguish themselves from other vtubers, no one made it to mess because I think everyone has a decent enough non-offensive design, I just think some of the ones at the top could be less cluttered or more focused.
The ones at the bottom either feel like they're good as mascot designs but not as vtuber designs, or are a bit too generic and have too much overlap with other designs. I assume a lot of the ones at the bottom are already working on redesigns, so I wish them luck.
