But otherwise a few things: the head is awkward in part because her hair seems to be drawn at a different angle than her face. Mostly her bangs. Her breasts are very high especially since she's naked. Her torso is pretty vague, drawing the rib margin and iliac crest even temporarily might help define it. The hips/thighs are weird which I think you've realized. Hard to explain without redlining but basically the leg on the left is in front of the pubis and left thigh. You do seem to be suggesting the viewer is looking down on her in which case you might be able to see the pubis, but then the torso/abdomen should reflect that too. I might be able sketch what I'm talking about later but finding a good reference will help a lot I think

Thanks for the input. I did have a pose ref and construction and whatnot for the sketch layer(s) but as I made fixes on the lineart layer I diverged from it, it's a bad habit of mine to reference something unfamiliar yet appealing and end up shifting to more of a 'normal' angle due to my lack of understanding of the original pose.

There are three possible paths forward: finding a new ref closer to the current angle, redrawing to better match the original ref, or just trying to fix it on my own before moving on to a new piece. It's frustrating to realize how many areas I'm lacking in, but if I only finish drawings that I think are good i'll never finish anything so I might as well finish this one. I've ordered a copy of Bridgeman's 'Drawing from Life' and intend to incorporate that into my practice for some proper figure study when it arrives, although I'm not sure how closely the mostly male figures in that book will relate to soft anime girls. I know this sort of drawing technique chat would fit better on /ic/ but that board is weird and toxic and I really don't want to interact with anyone there
