Basically. Even if you managed to cobble together a bunch of servers You would be looking at a minimum of $200 per month, but probably more. You'd probably be looking at somewhere close to about 350 to 400 per month. Because you would want a server with at least 64 GB of RAM and you would want at least a couple of those, so that you could combine them and bungee cord them together.
Then of course you probably have to go through one of the fan discords if you wanted to keep it members only, because you'd have to have somebody willing to create a spreadsheet of everybody's username next to their YouTube name and every single month check that spreadsheet to see if those members had renewed their membership in the discord server yet.
If you've ever worked in an office, you could probably figure out how to do that in Excel But it would probably be a full-time job.

Yeah way more than MGS1. I have a very complicated opinion on MGS1 because I kind of hated it, but I can still appreciate how batshit insane and ambitious it is for 1998 even if it's not as good as it thinks it is.
That said, I had a lot of fun with VR Missions, because you get to actually play the damn game and there's some really creative uses of the game's kinda janky mechanics.
MGS2 was great. It plays and feels great. The mechanics are expanded upon in really fun ways. The story is much better, better told, and just way more engaging in general. You get to actually play the game, and the twists are really fun.

I didn't actually watch most of Pomu's playthroughs of Metal Gear Solid (only bits and pieces of MGS1, 2, and 4) because those games have been on my backlog for over a decade. Hearing her constantly gush about it, plus going through that graduation, I decided to finally give do it for her and play the series. IL-2 isn't designed for a mouse and keyboard. IIRC they did add some kind of War Thunder mouse mode, but I have no idea if that's maintained since it was many years ago they added it and it seemed like such a half-hearted effort.
