Do you have a link to Raziel's doc? I want to compare the C&D's list of defamatory statements.
Just looking it over, "non-existent" isn't definite enough for a defamation claim, and neither is what Raziel said about PR training (which was a surmise based on actions--that is, saying that it looks like they didn't have any PR training based on livers' actions).
For '2' I'd have to read the doc closely, but I don't think that's quite what Raziel said.
For the last one, I don't why "stories" is in quotation marks (as opposed to "suppress"), but there's a difference between "suppress the doc" (which they probably haven't done before) and "suppress any info in the doc" (which they probably have).

The most egregious reason why the C&D is made to harass is because the answer to allegedly defamatory statement 2--that Niji has an "Internal Whistleblowing Policy for Livers" since April 12, 2024--came after the doc was released (March 29, 2024). As for actual defamation, there probably wasn't anything legally sufficient because of opinion on "not doing anything"=="not doing enough in my opinion" (but it depends on wording).
Another part of the obviously-just-meant-to-threaten-you aspect (which I just saw) is the lawyers' recitation that "Among the many false statements are serious accusations erroneously asserting unprofessionalism, mismanagement and neglect, including but not limited to the following:"--in an actual case you have to point to the specific, individual defamatory statements, so the lawyers know that they have nothing better to go off of than misinterpreting a few statements. [On that topic, item #3 on that line is that they don't actually quote Raziel's document--again, you have to show actual quotes--because they have to "summarize" the statements made in such a way that it looks like Raziel was actually defamatory.]

C&D #1:

Summary: Raziel said that _Luca_ "would inform me [that ANYCOLOR] did not" have PR training. This would defame Luca if he didn't say that (maybe), but it doesn't defame ANYCOLOR because Raziel can't speak from personal experience about the matter--her only source is Luca.
Raziel said that "AnyColor's management felt non-existent" based on her conversations with Luca. This is clearly a statement of opinion, and importantly, does not indicate an actual fact (there were no managers) but rather an opinion reflecting on competence (what managers there were, doing what they did, did little for Luca).
Finally, Raziel said that NIJISANJI EN livers have "zero support behind them". Especially in context (this was in the "Summary" which did not itself include any evidence), this is clearly a statement of opinion.

C&D #2:

Raziel:

Raziel's knowledge, once again, is filtered through Luca's statements to her, which do not necessarily represent the full truth of the situation. Importantly, Raziel's document reflects this, particularly in this quote. Raziel said that Luca told her that he felt that "management wouldn't do anything." This statement is quite different from the C&D's statement that Raziel said that "ANYCOLOR refused to take any action" in relation to the incidents. In the first place, management is not necessarily encompassed by "ANYCOLOR"--the top execs are more business types than "management" types as the term "management" is used in relation to VTubers and talent management. The main reason that this statement isn't defamatory is that it represents what Luca (and other livers) thought from their respective perspectives--particularly, that the offending liver in question went unpunished. Raziel's statement could only be considered false by giving the words in the statement an unreasonably narrow reading. For example, if someone complained, and a manager said "I'll look into that," and that manager then told a different manager, then ANYCOLOR (through its employees-managers) did take *some* action. Obviously, such minimal action is not the sort of thing the livers who were harassed were looking for, and the statement should be interpreted how an ordinary person would read it.

C&D #3:

Raziel's only use of "stories" (quoted in the C&D) are (1) a mention in relation to pre-Nijisanji conversations and (2) in the "Summary" where no mention of suppression is made. The only use of "suppress" (stated but not quoted in the C&D) is about "Luca's fan base" trying to suppress her.

Although I'm not sure that a C&D would qualify as a public statement (in terms of defamation law), ANYCOLOR's lawyers very clearly accuse Raziel of saying things (particularly in #2 and #3) which she did not say. I know /news/ isn't the place, but I'd like to see counterpoints if anyone has any, just to test the waters of these my arguments.

For Idol? Yuko. ANYCOLOR HITS A TRIPLE
Anycolor stocks shot up hard today as it rebounded back up to 2164 yen (79). Most likely due to the fact that Cover shot up like a rocket but more on that later.
Anycolor really should be grateful however, as this week was nearly historic as for the first time in a year they had closed out in the 20XX region. Now instead of another black mark to their stock they can be positive about a 28 yen increase overall. Don't expect any major changes drops however, we've now hit all the realistic milestones with the 20XX closing and are only less than 2 weeks away from that sweet report.

COVER HITS THE GRANDEST SLAM
In what can only be described as a miracle, Cover rocketed up the boards as they return to before the Q4 report as they now sit at a astonishing 1726 yen (201). While some may that was due to the Dodgers collab announcement, this announcement only became known to the public 1 hour before closing, well after most of the meteoric rise.
As for the week, Cover saw a amazing 153 yen gain overall. With the stock being either neutral or negative barring Monday before the rise. For what to expect next week, I genuinely don't know. The aftermarket shows Cover is gonna shoot up hard again currently, however I can't help but feel this is gonna be a windfall and it's gonna be suddenly shorted afterwards (and if that shit tanks hard who knows what happens to their competitor.) It'll be fun to look at next week, that much I can guarantee.

OTHER NEWS

Anycolor board has been mostly positive, with the Dodger's collab and the NBA merch it's hopeful spirits as the financial report draws near. Also False's vid was screenshotted and posted there.
I'm not going into Cover's board after a day like this. Can't make me. We'll just assume everyone is just ecstatic about today and the Dodgers collab.

Not much you CAN do about that, save switch venues. Maybe you can put out a bunch of repeaters to enhanced coverage, but if the network is simply being overwhelmed, it's very difficult if not impossible to convince the ISP to come out and do something about it. It's the kind of thing the venue itself would have to pay through the teeth for and likely be shut down as the infrastructure was added.

Not really financially viable, considering they'd also have to be flown in. There's a reason all these conventions are like 90% local volunteer staff, or more, when you include the volunteer staff the vendors bring in themselves in turn.

AX's venue includes some professional staff, but they are no doubt also local, and most venues don't do that (and almost every venue is cheaper than Crypto.com's, with it's 200,000 capacity.)

But at least they vet their volunteers. They are also no longer taking international nor attendee volunteers (the former of which probably made up all of a handful). That's not counting all the volunteers the vendors will bring in. Most booths are entirely volunteer, or at least all but one.
